WILDERNESS CAMP 2026

During the festival, we invite children and teenagers to join their very own wilderness camp! These days will be filled with friendship, growth, adventure, and spiritual encouragement – surrounded by the beautiful northern Norwegian landscape. Leaders: Vigdis and Rune Solli.

WHO IS THE CAMP FOR?

Å

The wilderness camp is for children and youth aged 8–17.
We plan activities suitable for both younger children and teenagers, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and meaningful experiences.

SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

🛶 Canoeing course and river trip down Laksjokka

🏕 Overnight stay in a lavvu (traditional tent) on the island near the festival area

🔥 Cooking our own wilderness-style meals

🧭 Trail challenges and outdoor activities using maps and compasses

⚽ Team games and competitions

TFC – Tribal Friendly CONTEST

Å

Participants will be divided into teams and compete in different activities throughout the camp.

 

Teams collect points through:

Nature trails

Ball games

Team challenges

Creative tasks

The goal is not only to win – but to build teamwork, friendship, and lasting memories!

OVERNIGHT STAY

The program includes:
 

Morning activities during the conference days

(approx. 3 hours, not including arrival and departure days)

A full 24-hour canoe trip with overnight stay on the island
 

All participants staying overnight must bring:
 

Sleeping bag

Sleeping mat

GATHERINGS AND SPIRITUAL ENCOURAGEMENT

We want the children to experience:
 

A personal encounter with Jesus

Spiritual encouragement

Time for Bible teaching, worship, and fellowship

We will have gathering times with teaching, conversations, and worship – in Norwegian (and English if needed).

SAFETY AND STRUCTURE

Å

Safety is important to us:

All responsible leaders have completed police background checks

All participants are registered with parent/guardian contact information

Clear rules apply for swimming and staying on the island

If more than 10 children participate, we will include additional helpers

Each canoe will have one adult and two children, and everyone will wear life jackets.

FOOD

Å

We will take a short break for food and drinks during the morning session. More information will be provided regarding whether participants should bring their own packed lunch or if meals will be organized.

These will be days filled with nature, friendship, faith, and real wilderness experienCes. We look forward to seeing you!
