Registration for the Wilderness Camp

Our website includes a registration form for the Wilderness Camp, which is intended for children and young people between the ages of 8 and 17.
 

Through this registration form, we collect:

  • parent/guardian's first name

  • parent/guardian's last name

  • parent/guardian's email address

  • parent/guardian's telephone number

  • full name of the child or young person attending

The information is used to administer the registration and to contact parents or guardians in connection with the Wilderness Camp. The Wilderness Camp includes activities in nature, canoeing, and overnight stays. The information may therefore also be used for necessary planning, organization, safety, and follow-up related to participation in the camp. We do not collect more personal data than is necessary for these purposes.

 

3. Personal data concerning children and young people

The Wilderness Camp is intended for children and young people between the ages of 8 and 17. We therefore take particular care when processing personal data relating to minors.

Registration is completed by a parent or legal guardian, and the parent's or guardian's contact details are used as the primary point of contact in connection with participation.

Personal data concerning children and young people is used only for purposes relevant to the organization and implementation of the Wilderness Camp and necessary follow-up.

If additional information is required in connection with the event, this will be handled in a manner that safeguards the child's privacy and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

 

4. What do we use personal data for?

We may use personal data for the following purposes:

  • processing and administering registrations

  • contacting parents, guardians, and participants regarding events

  • providing practical information about Arctic North Conference and the Wilderness Camp

  • planning and organizing activities and participation

  • ensuring necessary safety and follow-up during events

  • fulfilling our legal obligations

  • documenting and administering our activities where necessary

9. How long do we retain personal data?

We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as we are legally required to retain it.

Information relating to registration for the Wilderness Camp will normally not be retained longer than necessary to administer and carry out the event and any necessary follow-up.

Certain information may need to be retained for a longer period where this is required by accounting, bookkeeping, or other legal obligations.

When personal data is no longer necessary, it will be deleted or anonymized.

 

10. Transfers to countries outside the EEA

We aim to use service providers that process personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA).
